I have a MA address!!!!

So, after looking at several apts I finally got one and I have a Mass address. I still can't believe this is happening, it's so exciting. I fell in love with one apt in an old house with TONS of character.  There were 4 other applications on it and I ended up being one of the top 2 choices but I didn't get it.

I did get a cute little apt in Rockland, MA. It's on the third floor, has all hardwood floors and all new everything. I can't wait, I move in 2 weeks!!!! Now it's just packing and waiting. I'll post before and after pics in a few weeks.

I'm back and I'm moving.......

Hello Everyone,
For those of you that don't know I live in Westminster, MD which is also where I was born.  I've always wanted to leave town even though I do love living here.  I've been at my current job for over 8 years and finally scored a job somewhere else!!!!  I'm moving right outside of Boston and will be starting my new job at J.Jill in 3 weeks as an allocator.  I'm super excited about this new move and hope it will bring great new adventures.  I'm planning on documenting it all on here along with my business, Abigail Leigh Handbags. 

This past weekend my parents and I drove up to find me an apartment.  I found two I really like so hopefully I will find out very soon about one of them.  The one I really want is in Briantree, MA and is less than 4 miles from my new job.  The other is about 9 miles from my work and is in Rockland, MA.  While we were there we had dinner at The Fox & the Hound Wood Grille and Tavern.  Very good New England seafood!!!  Other than that is wasn't a too exciting trip.......

For the VERY rainy Sunday it is today here in Westminster, I sure got a lot finished, after brunsh at Ihop of course. Well, I just cut out A LOT of fabrics, the dreaded first step of sewing. ~New Website~

The new Abigail Leigh Handbags website is now available to view. I'm very excited to finally have my own personal website and even more excited to have the email address to go along with it : ) The site is informational only at this time but shows almost all of my styles I make. The home page also has links to all of my other pages such as email, facebook, twitter, blog, etsy shop and flicker page. Flickr is really where all of my creations will be located to view.....

On another note I am pretty sure I am in B.E.S.T (Baltimore Etsy Street Team)....I'm super excited about that......This means I will be minggling with the Best Etsyans in Baltimore...I'm hoping this will grown my business as well by getting out there with other Etsy sellers.

Who's a Kate Spade girl, me me me me.........Kate Spade has been my favorite handbag designer for about 10 years now and I'm loving the clothing line she has brought to us since 2009. The colors and styles are just as feminine and classic has her handbags. Her clothes are great for all situations like a day at work, a date and even a cocktail party. I usually go to Etsy everyday to see what's new and what great shops I can find.......Last week I came across this great ceramics shop called Circa Ceramics. They are based out of Chicago and their logo is "functional + decorated + ware". Below are just a few of the great pieces they have. American Idol Season 10

Tonight is the season premier of American Idol Season 10. This is my ALL TIME FAVORITE SHOW (even though I only started watching the past 3 years). This year is going to be especially interesting b/c the only judge that is still on the show is Randy Jackson. I was not happy when Paula Abdul left and now Simon Cowell is gone as well. I'm not a huge fan of J Lo but this season should be an interesting one with all of the new judge changes. I'm wondering who will be "Paula" and who will be "Simon". I think J Lo will be the tough judge and Steven Tyler will be the one who loves everyone. Hopefully they get some good talent this year unlike last year, but I have to say I still catch myself singing "Pants on the ground" every once and a while : )

I loved Matt Giraud in Season 8 even though he didn't even make it to the top 3.

Golden Globes

I love award shows so much, mostly to see what everyone is wearing......And The Golden Globes are the most glamorous of the award shows. I have a few best and worst dressed......Who do you think was the best and worst dressed of the Globes last night?!?!

Bring On 2011!!!!!

2011 is going to be my year for EVERYTHING, well almost. I have started to listen to “The Secret”, well it was everyday and now I’ve gotten a little lax on that. Listening to this everyday will push me to achieve what I want in my life and my business. It’s a powerful book/movie if you haven’t seen it yet.

1. The main resolution is to stop PROCRASTINATING……this will solve almost all of my problems : )

2. I’m going to set a schedule to work my business like a part time job, and stick to it…this is where #1 will come into play.

3. I’m also going to try to come up with a great packaging idea to use for all of my orders.

4. I’m going to continue to promote my handbags on my Facebook fan page (see sidebar for the link) and get into as many craft fairs as possible with my huge inventory I’m going to have b/c I’m sticking to my schedule : )

4. I’m going to be more vocal on blogs and also blog myself on here for at least 3 days a week to start……Once I get the hang of it I’m going to shoot for everyday : )

4. I’m going to start eating much better and doing my “30 Day Shred” workout EVERYDAY…..I started to follow www.homemadegrits.blogspot.com/2011/01/what-i-eat-part-1.html It’s very intriguing to me and can’t wait to read more about how she lost 30 lbs. I have about 50 lbs to loose though. I’m going to try to go to hot yoga when times and money permits as well.

5. I’m going to continue to watch my spending, I’ve been very good in the past year but I need to get better at it

6. I’m going to start to go through my “junk” at my parents house so it will be easier to move out when the time come. I have so many clothes, and just boxes of crap I don’t need.

7. And to keep myself positive along the way I will be listening to “The Secret” almost everyday.

I will def be posting my progress along the way….

Today I met up with friends for lunch at City Cafe in Baltimore.....it was great to catch up over a yummy meal....the New Year is off to a good start except for my sinus infection...

It's been a while......

It's been a while..........

I've been MIA for a while on here and am back. Vacations, filling orders and just being lazy. Well, I have a new wallet that I will be adding to my shop this weekend along with some other new bags. Ahhhh the beach......

Even though I'm NOT a beach person, I love to get away to my parents beach house on the Eastern Shore in MD. I usually hang out at the house, lounging on the huge front porch or driving down Costal Highway shopping....I just love the how beach houses are decorated....My parents house is not as fabulous as these pics, it's VERY beachy and homey. Trust me, my mother would love to decorate like these as well....

I think this last one is a store, but it sooooo cute : )
